The hotel is a small boutique and truly lives up to its title. Frank was incredibly nice, highly communicative, and a lovely person overall. I absolutely adored his guidebook. Everything was clean and surprisingly well-maintained. While breakfast wasn't extravagantly fancy, it was satisfying enough. The hotel has a fantastic location, just a 3-minute walk to Parque Kennedy, the heart of Lima.

There was a kitchenette, kettle and teas as well as fruit and water left in the mini fridge, all wonderful after a late arrival. Shower was also great. Very budget friendly and close to the airport. Lidia and her husband are wonderful hosts and happy to offer advice and help when required.

Location is convenient, the interior is nice, and the room is spacious. More importantly, staffs are so helpful and friendly. I went to some of the restaurants they recommended and they were really tasty!

This is not called a Family hostel for nothing. After just 3 nights here we felt like family. Arriving late at night the place didn’t seem very special, just another place to rest our heads. But the family that run the place soon made it feel special. They were so warm and welcoming, and the whole setup of the place makes it feel like you’re staying as a guest in their home as they’re always around to help, or just to chat. And their 3 cats are there to keep you company too. The hostel is very well located between Barranco and Miraflores, with both in easy walking distance. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. The hostel is kept very clean and secure. With nice shared areas in the rooftop terrace and breakfast area. We had a double room with en-suite which was compact but functional. The bed was comfy and there was no noise. A bit more space would perhaps have been nice. We had so many good tips from our hosts about places to see, where to eat, and even where to get a good service laundry. These were a real help. If we ever come back to Barranco (and I really hope we will) this will be our first stop.

Este Second Home es una majestuosa casa de huéspedes de 4 estrellas situada junto a la playa Barranco de Lima. La situación es excepcional y las vistas 180 grados desde la habitación era un espectáculo. La casa colonial es preciosa con una decoración peruana y especial . Nuestra habitación grande , espaciosa con el baño arriba con vistas . Pedimos una cama supletoria y sin problema nos dijeron que si . Me gustó que las fotos reflejan la realidad

The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Communication was very easy and overall this was a really great experience. Thank you so much for the hospitality.

La atención de todos y lo bien cuidada que estaba la habitación y las instalaciones, todo excepcional! Las Srtas. Margarita y Joissi y el joven Aldo siempre muy atentos y prestos a brindar solución a todo, me he sentido muy bien en todo momento. Definitivamente en caso deba viajar y quedarme en un sitio cercano nuevamente no lo pensaré dos veces y regreso a hospedarme ahí!
