I stayed in one of the budget rooms, which were surprisingly spacious, spotlessly clean, and quietly tucked away in the back garden; perfect for a calm night’s sleep. The food (both breakfast and dinner) was to die for. All home-cooked by the grandmother with so much love and flavour. The family was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to help us: sharing honest tips about what to visit in Anuradhapura, organising a half-day safari, and arranging transport with fair prices. But what makes this place truly special is their story. They started with just one room about 10 years ago and gradually grew to eleven, without ever raising their prices for food or accommodation. Hands down, this was the best quality stay and food I had in Sri Lanka so far.

We loved this homestay because: -large comfortable and super clean room. -host was so friendly and super helpful with our transportation needs and logistics -treated us like family -helped organize our sightseeing around town -everyday, tea/juice and cake/fruit were brought to our room during tea time -location was very near restaurants, grocery store, ATMs, beer store -on request, they can make breakfast and dinner -located on a very quiet street with a roof top city view

Wilpattu Mookalan Resort se nachází v destinaci Habawewa a má zahradu, nekuřácké ubytování a bezplatné Wi-Fi. Jen 39 km odtud je Kumbichchan Kulama Tank. Great location. Nicely tucked away from the road amongst the forest. Lots of birds including jungle fowl to watch from the patio. Walk in from the road via a pathway. They met us to help carry our bags. Dinner was traditional Sri Lankan curry - vegetarian or chicken. Followed by yoghurt and fruit for dessert. Plenty of food, not spicy and was yummy. Other options for dinner were fried rice or vegetable noodles. Breakfast was packed for us for the following day safari. 2 egg sandwiches, a banana, yoghurt and water. Sufficient for the half day. The best part is the very close lake and dirt road. We went for a walk with binoculars and saw deer, langurs, crocodile, hornbills and lots of other birds and lizards too. A much better, slower paced experience and one not to miss. We booked a half day tour with the host. In hindsight we would have booked a different tour. Pillows weren't overly comfortable but was OK for 1 night.

The owners were so nice and welcoming... i am gluten free and they tried their best to understand what is that to adapt my breakfast 🍳 Egg Hoppers were super good!! They arranged it for me and there is always fresh juice, fruit and something sweet and coffee or tea. They take your pictures for your memories 🤗 There is a walk path just behind and you can have an early or evening walk if you want through very very beautiful scenery!! Several light points with warm light! You will understand this comment when you travel around sri lanka..they normally use really white light lights! The warm color was very nice

Je prostorné, nově zařízené a na klidném místě. Hlavní přednosti je skvěla sekomunikace s majitelem Pomůže vám se vším, co potřebujete. A navíc přidá vlastní tipy a rady.

Golden Ray villa se nachází v atraktivní lokalitě v centru města Anuradhápura a může se pochlubit výhledem do zahrady. Hosté mají k dispozici zahradu a terasu. The owner and his right hand Shiran who were just amazing and will say yes to everything you need! Amazing people! Got lemon juice and the most yummy sugar lemon roti for welcome drinks, they made us feel at home. The location was perfect, out of the hustle and bustle of the town and close enough to be close to all the attractions. Nice big room, comfy bed, hot water (hot /cold water in different pipes) but you can shower with only the hot. Clean and really just perfect. Stay here!

I’ve stayed at Oleena Homestay before and loved it, so I’m back again. I like the serenity of the place set among trees and plants and bird songs. And the hosts, Jeewa and Masha are wonderful people with their lovely daughter Oleena. The breakfast were sumptuous and they are able to arrange savoury lunch and dinner 😋. Masha is a great cook. 😍 The garden rooms come with your own private balcony. One may have the food at the balcony or at the nice airy dining hut. Jeewa was able to arrange trips around the area. Excellent hospitality. 😊

FOREST VIEW HOME STAY nabízí restauraci, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. Kumbichchan Kulama Tank se nachází 5,3 km odtud. The family is really lovely, they arranged for us everything we needed: from renting a bike to tuktuks and dinner and breakfast. Meals were amazing, here we had the best dahl we've ever had in a month.
