I stayed at the Commune Hostel in Varanasi for 2 nights and had a great experience. The rooms were clean, the service was good, and the bathrooms were well-maintained. The hostel also has AC, which made the stay very comfortable. Its location is excellent, with the Vishwanath Temple nearby. Overall, it was a wonderful stay at an affordable price. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

The location, the people, especially Aditya who managed the entire thing and took great care of my parents. They helped arrange all the travel within Varanasi and also to Ayodhya and back. They also provide boat ride packages where you can visit all ghats and witness Ganga Aarti from the boat. They were great hosts.

The staff is EXCELENT! The receptionis even took me to buy food when I arrived at midnight! And even lend me some cash! They put me in a very nice room. They provided a kettle so I coukd make my coffee. They are super kind and helpful! I felt very safe as a female solo traveler.

great hostel, exactly what you’d expect from a backpacker hostel. Great common area (games room, guest shower, terrace with kitchen). Really makes for a relaxed atmosphere. we stayed for holi, and when things got a bit rowdy in town we came back here where there was a really nice party (very safe, with checks of who was allowed in and who not). the people who work there are super friendly and accommodating for traveler’s needs (clear info and help, even provided extra soap and towel to use for our post holi shower). highly recommend!

Perfect location. The hostel really exceeded my expectations, super clean and great facilities. Staff were friendly and all the people I met were friendly too. It felt super safe. The neighbourhood was also very safe. Great location for the old town. I was sad to leave and will return!
