IcelandI´m a local from Reykjavik but will write in English. I loved this little guesthouse. It gives you the true "farm" feeling of sleeping surrounded by grass and green hills will its still inside the beautiful town of Vik. We made friends who also stayed at the guesthouse and we played games outside in the grassfield in the evening. The private room was cute with nice beds and bed linens and the kitchen and bathroom area were clean and nice. I would come here again.

I would give this hostel 5 stars! It doesn't look like a hostel at all. Beds in dormitory are big and comfortable, each with a curtain for privacy and blocking light. It's very clean, has a lot of spaces outside the room to chill, bathrooms, showers and a big kitchen with a view to have lunch or breakfast. The Barn is definitely a backpacker hostel and is organised as such, with shoe racks outside of each bedroom. Each bed has a place to put their luggage on and there are many coat hangers. Busy, but it's a great location, just a few minutes from the black sand beach and basalt columns. Fantastic sunset from there. The room was so spacious (I had a double room), and the bed was SO comfy! The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with all the appliances you'd need.
