The accommodation is still new, very clean and looks exactly like the photos. It has a nice terrace with sun loungers overlooking the garden, in the dining area you have a view of green palm trees - you completely forget that you are in the busy city of Kandy. It is an oasis of peace. We had a double room, but I also saw a part designated as a hostel, everything new and very nice. Wifi worked great, breakfast was good. The operator can arrange a lot of interesting activities for you, including various hiking tours. He also called Pick Me for us when we left, because we did not have our own app. I recommend

That was a fantastic stay in Barefoot Inn. We had everything we needed, comfortable beds, clean bathroom and a very tasty Sri Lankan breakfast served by Jeewani, the owner, who is a very friendly, attentive and a supportive host.

For two days, I felt at home! The owner isn't your typical businessman who's just out to make a profit, but a sweet and warm person who cares about your experience. He cooks excellent traditional Sri Lankan dishes and can give you all the tips you need on the most unmissable places to visit in the city and the country. I stayed with my mother in this hostel for 3 days. Good and beautiful place. Close to lake and city center. Very clean. Pleasant host. Always helped us. Clean bed, Clean shower. It is possible to use the kitchen. Nice view from the room.

Although the property is kind of far from the Centre, the views are incredible, even when it’s raining it’s very viby here. We both got here sick and the host made sure we got taken to the hospital and arranged for pick up. Sadly we had been sick all of our stay but what made it special was how attentive everyone was, constantly asking if we needed anything and being very helpful. Bringing us tea and food up to our room and helping us find another place to stay in Kandy (sadly the hostel was fully booked) but we are very thankful for all the help they gave us! Apart from being super nice, they are very good people :)
