The host was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He recommended a great breakfast spot and even shared his favorite place for dinner, which turned out to be fantastic. He also helped arrange transportation to and from Tawau Airport, which made everything so convenient. The room was very clean and quiet. There were a few tiny ants, but honestly, it’s just part of the environment here—it’s already one of the cleanest places. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and I really appreciated having a washing machine and a space to hang clothes. There’s a fire extinguisher in the hallway, and the entrance is secured with two iron gates. The room uses a traditional key lock, and the host is always present at the property, which makes it feel very safe. Downstairs, the roti keju paired with curry sauce and sambal was surprisingly delicious. The food court he recommended had a great variety—loved the smooth draft beer, the light and tasty Hakka tofu, the tender and flavorful lamb satay, and the Singapore-style fried vermicelli was also quite good. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great local tips and hospitality.

The showers and toilets were separated and kept clean by the care takers. Though I have to keep quite all the time as the dorm was also occupied with other travellers. I checked in quite late and stayed only for 6 hours and prior to my late arrival, as the reception is only available for 12 hours, the management sent me a message on Booking for self check-in which was so convenient and great especially for a late check-in. Thank you for the auntie who was there to help me out as well. Loved her vibe! Place is situated at the heart of Gaya Street, right in front of Jesselton Hotel and quite close to Wisma Merdeka (which was my main purpose to go there). I'm grateful for the locker underneath. Got to store my luggage inside safely, whilst I roam around the street. Affordable? Definitely Location? Yes Clean and comfortable? Yes Would I book here again? Yes
