They were so helpful and willing to go above and beyond to make my stay in Rio Vermelho great. I had loads of questions and they never made me feel like I was putting them out, so I really appreciated that. I got great recommendations for places to visit, and multiple resources which made my trip in Salvador safe as well as productive. Plus I got a room with a view of the beach off the varanda which I loved.

Situated in Porto Seguro, 1.7 km from Centro Beach, Terra do Sol Pousada e Hostel features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Beautiful space, very warm staff and a nice breakfast. Everything was perfect.

Located in Praia do Forte, this hostel is 350 metres from Praia do Forte Beach. It features free WiFi and daily buffet breakfast. This is a wonderful hostel centrally located in Praia do Forte recognized by Hostelling International that has a variety of accommodation options. I spent 3 weeks as a solo senior (65 yrs old ) traveller here in a room with a private bathroom. My room was spacious and clean with a smart TV, efficient air conditioning, ceiling fan, comfortable bed and plenty of storage space. The bathroom had great water pressure and the shower had plenty of hot water. The included breakfast buffet had a nice variety of delicious food including vegetarian options. The staff at the hostel were all courteous, accommodating, professional and many spoke excellent English including the very friendly owner/manager Paulo. The wifi connection here was excellent. The hostel has bicycles available to rent. Residents of the hostel get huge discounts on many attractions and businesses in the Praia do Forte vicinity. There was a terrific self service laundry (Lavo) just steps away. This is a fantastic place to stay for solo budget travellers like myself, couples or families with children. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this quiet well managed hostel and would definitely return when visiting Praia do Forte.

Located 400 metres from Praia do Mucuge Beach, in Porto Seguro, Novos Baianos Hostel e Pousada features a sunny pool with terrace, surrounded by the garden. From the second I arrived to the second I left I felt very welcomed by Naomi (Owner). She’s very receptive and well informed. The pousada itself is beautiful, very well located and probably the cleanest place i have stayed in Brazil. The room is very comfortable, the bed is excellent, i had a great view with a hammock on the balcony. The air con is very good too. The communal area is clean and very functional and the swimming pool was an added bonus. I met some great people there and good friend in Naomi. I will definitely be returning soon. Oh and the pousada dog Zulu, is sooo lovely.. he accompanied me everywhere, even to the beach :) Thanks again.

In the heart of Morro de São Paulo village, Che Lagarto hostel offers bright rooms and colourful facilities near beaches, shops and restaurants. Accommodation includes free WiFi. It’s my second time to stay there, I love this place, always very clean, love the staff they are always extra helpful, the private room was spacious, had a TV & a clean bathroom. It’s great for solo travelers

Conveniently set in the Vitoria district of Salvador, Luz de Regina Bahia is situated 3 km from Pelourinho, 3.2 km from San Francisco church and 3.5 km from Arena Fonte Nova. The person in charge was such a nice person, he escorted me to the bus stop with an umbrella the morning I left to make sure I didn't get wet. He was also very helpful about what to see in Salvador and how to get to places. The location couldn't be better, midpoint between the historic centre and beaches/ historic lighthouse, all within walking distance. The neighbour is lined with big old trees and nearly the hostel are museums, particularly the Museum of Art where people can view (currently) Carybé"s sketches of Bahía and his time in Salvador. Very nice indeed.

Hostel Caraivando features a fitness centre, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Caraíva. 700 metres from Caraiva Beach, the hostel features a bar and barbecue facilities. Probably one of my best hostel experiences! Super cozy, familiar athmosphere. Beautiful comfortable space. Amazing team!

OXE hostel has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Moreré. All rooms are fitted with a patio. At the hostel, rooms have a balcony. This is such a beautiful hostel with an amazing chilled vibe. The views over the nearby rainforest is stunning, the facilities are modern and the owners super welcoming and friendly! Plus, each morning Bruno prepares a nice breakfast. In short, great value for money!!!!

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of sea, Evoé Caraíva is located in Caraíva, a few steps from Caraiva Beach. Free WiFi is available. At the hostel, all rooms are equipped with a desk. We absolutely loved everything about this hotel. The location is amazing, on the beach. The rooms are beautiful and all comfy. The breakfast is delicious But the most important is the people that are taking care of this magical place. Pipo, Saulo, Vitor thank you so much again 🙏
