I like the general atmosphere of the place, and I feel like the common spaces are nicely done to create interaction. There is also a working area you can use if you are teleworking for instance. The air conditioning is put on at night which makes it super nice to sleep. Each bed has its own privacy with curtains, a plug to charge your phone and a light. There is a shared bathroom per dorm. I paid extra for breakfast that was prepared by one of the staff. She was adorable, asked me what I would prefer and made me a different thing each morning. If you are staying more than one night, you can use the laundry service as well for some extra dollars. When I arrived, the person that did my check in also told me about all the different activities to do in and around La Fortuna, including three nice free spots like El Salto (rope swing into the river) or the hot springs. The hostel is located 5-10min walk to the city park, has plenty of small shops, markets and restaurants around and has a few parking spots if you are with a car.

Great place for families with kids. We even got invited to the dinner with Juan - the owner of the property, and his wonderful wife and friends. Plus we also got a free excursion in the sorrounding garden where Juan grows mangos, avocados, blackberries and meny other fruits. Absolutely recommend.

One of the best hostels I've been to in central america. Very nice patio to relax in, the staff is nice and the WiFi was fast.

The place honestly surprised me in the best way. The staff were insanely helpful — anything I needed, they handled right away and always with a great attitude. I really felt welcomed and taken care of the whole time. Wish more places worked like this. Totally recommend.

Incredibly kind host and volunteers, will go out of their way to help you and generally there's a cozy home-like atmosphere. The place is quite new, so super tidy and neat, with a very well equipped kitchen! Got great recommendations for acitivities and had an overall wonderful stay. Can recommend!!

I’m a solo female traveller and this place is clean, excellent value with a warm family vibe. Staff and volunteers are very friendly and willing to help with questions to ensure your stay is pleasant. I booked for one day and ended up staying for four :)

Cozy place to stay with lot of opportunities to hang around like in the hamacas Ort the Pool. Very nice Pool Bar. But above all the hotelcrew is very friendly and helpful. Diego helps organizing local Tours and Transfers. Je is always good humoured and just is Pura Vida

Arenal Poshpacker se nachází v destinaci Fortuna a má venkovní bazén, zahradu, terasu a bar. This was one of my favourite accommodations in Central America. The (single) rooms are spacious with air con and a terrace, there's a pool and poolside bar, and it sort of feels like you're staying in a tropical villa with all the plants and fountains! Jenny at the tour office by reception was helpful to book tours with, and everything is walkable (including El Salto natural pools).
