Kashta Nubian Guest Houst has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Aswan. The guest house is located on the Elephantine island and offers a very peaceful and quiet atmosphere, where one can easily walk to the Nile and spend quality time without any unnecessary noise and chaos. There are multiple restaurants and cafés at walking distance from the guest house. The room was comfortable for a good night's sleep. The highlight was however the owner and his kind hospitality. He goes out of his way to make sure your time is spent without any issues. He also picked me up from the ferry point on my arrival, and dropped me at 3:30 a.m. in the morning.

DoroKa Nubian House features a private beach area, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Aswan. Sallah the manager was very helpful and polite. The food for every meal (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was excellent. The location of the hotel directly on the Nile is fabulous, and the people in the village were helpful and kind. It was easy to set up travel arrangements to Phyle island and Abu Simbal as well as getting to and from the airport.

Situated in Aswan and with Aga Khan Mausoleum reachable within 22 km, Pajama Hostel Nile View features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. Biba is such a lovely host and will make you feel at home immediately. The dorms are spacious, beds are comfortable and have a curtain for privacy. The location is perfect with bazar, restaurants and the local ferry to Elephantine Island just across the road.

Featuring a garden, a shared lounge and a bar, Abu Simbel Hostel is located in Abu Simbel and is 2 km from Abu Simbel Temples. It is a real nub Ian palace ,very beautiful. Rooms are very big with nice decorations.Breakfast is good.Gardens. Very peaceful, in the centre. It is in Hloll hotel.

Location: Quiet local neighborhood with kids playing on the street around sunset. The house overlooks the Nile. The square in front, flanked by two mosques, has direct access to the river with a small beach for swimming and boat pickups / dropoffs. The main riverside promenade is within 10 minutes walk. There is a proper Carrefour supermarket and ATMs (in the lobby of the Old Cataract hotel next door) on the way. To me, the area felt much nicer and more authentic than Elephantine island. House: Just renovated, the cleanest I've seen in Egypt (especially the kitchen and bathroom). I stayed in a double, which had the necessary amenities. The rooftop is available with pretty sunset views (see attached pic) and a nice chill area, best enjoyed with a tea. Host: Really helpful, English and Spanish speaking, very responsive, with lots of practical travel experience and great recommendations, especially about navigating the local particularities on a budget.

Set within 19 km of Aga Khan Mausoleum and 4.3 km of Nubian Museum, Nubian Hights guesthouse offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Ash Shallāl.
