The dorm room was spacious and had good ventilation. The bunk beds were comfortable, and each bed had its own power socket and towel. The bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked with essentials. The hostel is in a quiet area, but a 10-minute Grab ride takes you to the train station. Lila was very welcoming and helped me book transport to Yogyakarta. Highly recommended for backpackers looking for comfort without breaking the bank!

ZZZ Ijen Hostel se află în Banyuwangi, la 15 km de Watu Dodol, și pune la dispoziție o grădină, o terasă și parcare privată gratuită. I loved basically everything about this property! Great location, very clean, comfy room with aircon, well priced, extremely friendly and helpful staff. You can buy food/snacks for a reasonable price and they have free coffee and tea as well as hot and cold filtered water. Has a nice little balcony where you can watch the rain. Not incredibly social, but it’s also off season so I can’t imagine there would be anywhere more social in the area to be honest. Was clear about the fact that the blue fire at Ijen would not be available the days we were there and the staff was not pushy at all about buying tours, just very helpful. Honestly one of the best price to experience ratios I’ve ever gotten at a hostel, and the perfect place to chill or prepare for a hike. Also one of the cutest cats I’ve ever seen if my life lives here, she is friendly and very funny.

The place is green, cool, and peaceful—you almost forget it’s in the middle of a busy city. It was my first time staying in a dorm, and it was great: only four beds, all clean, comfy, fragrant, and with curtains for privacy. There’s a guest kitchen, a drying area, and fast WiFi. Breakfast is made to order. I had banana pancakes with honey—delicious—plus a fruit platter and a choice of water, tea, or coffee. The bathroom is always clean and fresh, the toilet paper never runs out, and the scent is pleasant. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, polite, and full of smiles. Special thanks to Mas Wawan. The garden is lush and relaxing, and you can chill by the pool. I loved being able to escape the city’s noise in a place this comfortable.
