The owner was so kind and the location was perfectly placed in the city, not too loud but not too quiet. I only stayed one night but would’ve been happy to stay longer.

The staff and the owner Tamrin are very helpful and kind! I had an amazing stay and the Jungle tour I booked with them was incredible! The rooms are very simple, but have everything you need. I definitely recommend coming here!

Set in Bukit Lawang, Thousands of Bottles - Hostel and Trekking features a shared lounge, terrace, bar, and free WiFi. Certain units at the property feature a balcony with a river view. Comfy beds, modern style hostel dorm, wonderful staff, very helpful, bar down stairs but not noisy, right next to the swimming hole!

Nias Surfing Accomodation býður upp á herbergi í Lagudri, í nokkurra skrefa fjarlægð frá Sorake-ströndinni og í 1,3 km fjarlægð frá Lagundri-ströndinni. The rooms are very clean and well kept. The location is ideal, giving us a direct view of the wave.

Salty Dog Hostel er staðsett í Telukdalam, nokkrum skrefum frá Baloho-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd. Amazing vibes and super chill environment. The owner and all of the staff are incredible and super fun people to hang with. You go to this place as a stranger but even after a couple days you become like family. I wish I could have stayed longer. 30 min drive to Saroke but no problem because it was easy to rent scooters from salty dog. Best place ever!!

Sinok Homestay Parapat offers air-conditioned rooms in Parapat. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. At the hostel, all rooms have a patio. I found the room very comfortable. I got help to find Batak food & they drove me to the ferry.

Likat Surf House snýr að ströndinni í Tuapejat og er með einkastrandsvæði. Boðið er upp á ókeypis einkabílastæði og gististaðurinn býður upp á flugrútu gegn gjaldi. Staff is nice, organizes surf, spearfishing and island-hopping trips. There is an on-site café where you can get breakfast (included in the stay). They also have quite a few surfboards for rent. Room is simple, bu It has all you need, bed is comfy, you can get free coffee/tea all day. I only stayed a night, but I wish to have stayed longer. You can see Telescopes breaking from far(but in front of the accommodation), to reach it is a short boat ride away. Had probably the best surf session of my life there :) Thanks and see you next time!

RedDoorz Hostel @er staðsett í innan við 1,8 km fjarlægð frá Medan-lestarstöðinni og 4 km frá Maimun-höllinni. Stayed one night at Red Capsule Hostel before my flight — it was a great choice for a short stay. The capsule was clean, comfortable, and the facilities seemed well-kept. I didn’t have time to explore much, but from what I saw, it’s a solid spot for a quick stopover in Medan. Would consider staying again for a longer visit.
