The owner was so kind and the location was perfectly placed in the city, not too loud but not too quiet. I only stayed one night but would’ve been happy to stay longer.

The host is a really chill, down-to-earth guy who genuinely cares about his guests. He was very accommodating to my situation and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and a great place to relax after a long day. At first, I wasn’t planning to do the trekking because it was a bit out of my budget, and we initially disagreed on the price. But despite that, he went as far as to let me set up my tent on his property for free to ensure my safety, which really showed his kindness and hospitality. One important thing to note—before booking, make sure you can afford the trekking with him. He’s very passionate about it, and there could be some misunderstandings if you stay without booking a trek. But overall, if you’re looking for a welcoming place with a great host and a solid trekking experience, this is a great choice!

Frank and his family are great hosts, they make you feel very comfortable and welcome. Unreal location right in front of the break walk put on the reef and you are in. We stayed two weeks wish we stayed longer

Had an amazing stay at Salty Dog Hostel. The most beautiful sunsets are there and surf is about 20 mins away. Arif is the most genuine and helpful person we have met in Indonesia, and he's surely the coolest guy on Nias! He helped us out on many occasions and always offered genuine advice and willingness to share the Nias culture. Thanks for the great time and see you again!

Sentosa Lodge mempunyai basikal percuma, taman, lounge berkongsi dan teres di Padang. The staff are the sweetets people! Besides that the room and the facilities are all good!

Sinok Homestay Parapat menawarkan bilik berhawa-dingin di Parapat. Terdapat teres dan tetamu boleh menggunakan WiFi percuma dan tempat parking peribadi percuma. Very new homestay at the Sejahtera buscompany compound, but not completely finished yet. (November/2025) Nice clean rooms (but not 36 m2, I think around 22 m2) with comfortable beds. The Bathrooms are OK with hot/cold shower, there is NO mirror in the bathroom. Towels provided are clean and good. Good working airconditioning. Cups and/or glasses are not provided. 2 small bottles of water per day. Watercooker and coffee and tea... Staff is very nice and helpfull

Terletak di tepi pantai di Tuapejat dan menawarkan kawasan pantai peribadi, Likat Surf House mempunyai WiFi percuma di seluruh tempat penginapan. Staff is nice, organizes surf, spearfishing and island-hopping trips. There is an on-site café where you can get breakfast (included in the stay). They also have quite a few surfboards for rent. Room is simple, bu It has all you need, bed is comfy, you can get free coffee/tea all day. I only stayed a night, but I wish to have stayed longer. You can see Telescopes breaking from far(but in front of the accommodation), to reach it is a short boat ride away. Had probably the best surf session of my life there :) Thanks and see you next time!
