It is a very peaceful area of Leh, near a stream. Rooms are really well maintained and cosy. There are a few restaurants and cafes close to the place. And the owner is really helpful!

I stayed in Hearth and Haven for 5 nights and I have to say it is the best accommodation I have stayed in India. The room is super spacious, well lit and in a very good location: right in the middle of Leh market. It has hot water and nice shelves to put stuff in and plenty of blankets so you won’t be cold. Overall it is very good value for money. The host Angmo was super kind, warm and welcoming. She helped us with lots of things: heating dinner, preparing hot water, booking our taxing and even helping me with tracking my package from Srinagar (which was supposed to be sent to the homestay but didn’t arrive). She is like our mom in Ladakh

Situated in Leh, 600 metres from Main Bazaar, Rainbow Hostelier offers accommodation with a garden and on-site dining. Even if it is a 1+ km walk from the market, it is not a steep slope so it is easy to walk in a hilly area like Leh.
