Tag Along 2 0 Hostel Gangtok has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Gangtok. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. Beautiful location - for me it was worth it even though it is about a 30 minute walk to the main tourist street. Honestly it is nice being away from the tourist trap main drag even though I was only there for a few days. The road that leads to the hostel has lots of shops, some restaurants and bars, the sister hostel’s travel cafe, and Rachna Bookstore for great books and food. So if you are around for a while its great. The property is set in dense greenery, and does indeed have lots of birdlife. Great common spaces, great balconies, great food for the set dinners (I didn’t have the breakfast or lunch), and the staff is super knowledgeable, especially Saran. They have a deeper and somewhat offbeat lost of things to do in Gangtok, and will organize hikes for groups from the hostel. The standout for me here was the design - an amazing space compared to any other hostel I’ve been to in India. And very clean :)

They helped me book my buses, and checked on me even when I got stuck because of landslides. Breakfast was worth it too. Probably the cleanest sheets you'll come across while travelling in India haha.
