Beautiful location - for me it was worth it even though it is about a 30 minute walk to the main tourist street. Honestly it is nice being away from the tourist trap main drag even though I was only there for a few days. The road that leads to the hostel has lots of shops, some restaurants and bars, the sister hostel’s travel cafe, and Rachna Bookstore for great books and food. So if you are around for a while its great. The property is set in dense greenery, and does indeed have lots of birdlife. Great common spaces, great balconies, great food for the set dinners (I didn’t have the breakfast or lunch), and the staff is super knowledgeable, especially Saran. They have a deeper and somewhat offbeat lost of things to do in Gangtok, and will organize hikes for groups from the hostel. The standout for me here was the design - an amazing space compared to any other hostel I’ve been to in India. And very clean :)

Zemu Gangtok asub Gangtokis, 1,1 km kaugusel Namgyali Tiibetoloogia Instituudist. Kohapeal on aed, tasuta eraparkla, ühine puhkeruum ja terrass. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. They helped me book my buses, and checked on me even when I got stuck because of landslides. Breakfast was worth it too. Probably the cleanest sheets you'll come across while travelling in India haha.

Hostel Mellow Fellow asub Gangtokis. Hostelil on ühine puhkeruum, terrass, restoran ja baar. Kohapeal on ka concierge ja kasiino. Majutusasutuses on ühine köök, pangaautomaat ja valuutavahetus. The staff were very kind and helpful. The location was very convenient. It was one of the best accomodations in Sikkim.

Tag Along Backpackers asub Gangtokis, 1,6 km kaugusel Palzori staadionist ja 2 km kaugusel Enchey kloostrist. Kohapeal on tasuta jalgrattad ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. This place feels like home, really! It's cozy, clean, all little details sorted out and there's such a great vibe! And the cafeteria with all the tasty food! But above all I really love the people running this place!
