I'm Australian and visited during the low season and had the most incredible stay — it honestly felt like this family had a magic wand hidden somewhere. Every little problem I brought with me, they solved with such kindness and ease. From helping me get tailored clothes made, to fixing the screen on my phone, to preparing the most delicious meals, to even arranging a local traveler to accompany me to the ghats — they thought of everything. Mohit’s wife cooks the most amazing food, with a huge variety of delicious home-style Indian dishes. I probably ate 70% of my meals here, and every bite was a treat! As a solo woman traveler, I felt completely safe and cared for. When I ran into trouble with a bad Uber driver, they stepped in right away and sorted it out without hesitation. Whatever was on my to-do list, they somehow made it happen. Their home is full of warmth, laughter, and the sweetest little girls you’ll instantly fall in love with. Mohit’s mother also carries such wisdom and clarity in her words that, even when she spoke in Hindi, I found myself understanding. They’re wonderfully creative too — they hand painted uplifting murals to brighten the walls, from a cute panda to a serene Buddha, and they’ve even made cozy seats out of recycled tyre wheels. In the evenings, the open terrace is the perfect place to sit, while doves that have been nesting there for over five years coo gently in the background. The family also runs a small shop, so snacks and drinks are always within easy reach. Compared to the bustle of the city, this place is peaceful and quiet, yet still just a short walk from the Buddhist temples in Sarnath. The rooms are comfortable, with options to suit everyone — from dorms to single rooms and larger family spaces. Truly, this is the BEST place I have ever stayed. The hostel is equipped with all the basic amenities like wifi, hot water, common area. And the location of the is just 600 meters from Taj Mahal gate gate which makes it a very convenient choice.

Zigzag Homestay asub Agra kesklinnas. Kohapeal on konditsioneeri ja tasuta WiFi-ühendusega toad, tasuta eraparkla ja toateenindus. This homestay was the most wonderful place I could imagine to start my trip. Mozes and Steffy helped me with a lot of stuff and were treathing me like I was family... Set in Varanasi and with Assi Ghat reachable within 400 metres, SAIR Hostel, Varanasi - 100m from Assi Ghat offers a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. I had a wonderful stay at Sair hostel! It's a very new hostel, so don't let the small number of reviews scare you off. It's a small hostel, which is good, a warmer atmosphere, you can meet other people. And the staff is amazing and they're trying to create a friendly social atmosphere, more like a community thing, where you do things together. The hostel itself is nice, freshly renovated, very clean and tidy, the dorms have everything you need. And the location is great, near Assi ghat! Plus there's a very cute rooftop area, where you can chill or hang out with others. Would recommend this hostel to anyone, especially solo travellers! :)

Set within 600 metres of Harishchandra Ghat and 600 metres of Kedar Ghat, 3 Raahi Varanasi offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Varanasi. Vaishali and the rest of the staff were super welcoming and accommodating. Moved my friend and I to another room given the other one was being worked on and AC needed repair. Great location nice clean rooms overall.
