Situated in Masuda, 600 metres from Mochiishi Beach, ゲストハウス＆カフェ ハレテル features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Loveliest hosts ever, stayed late so they could check us in, gave us complimentary coffees the next morning, recommendations of things to do & places to eat. Rooms were excellent, we had four people, two in dorms two in single rooms, both were great, clean & cozy. Location is unbeatable, on the beach with a gorgeous view. Price was great for all rooms.

Located in Inokuchi, 32 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, Guesthouse tonari provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. Super friendly staff who were really helpful and welcoming. Great location for exploring the shimanami kaido, few minutes cycle from supermarket, maybe 15 mins to port to rabbit island or tatara bridge. 30mins cycle to other side of the island with the shrine and onsen. Everything was really clean and you were well provided for. Only a few beds in dorm room which was nice. Would love to stay again!

This is a beautiful traditional Japanese guest house on the island of Yuge. We spent a night here while biking the Shimanami Kaido trail. Yas, our host, was super kind and helpful. Fully equipped kitchen with free coffee and tea. Nice shower. Towels can be rented for 100 yen and laundry machine use for 100 yen as well. Very comfortable tatami beds. Close to a very good izakaya restaurant for dinner as well!

Roku Hostel Hiroshima has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Hiroshima. This hostel is as great as everyone says it is! I was staying in the female dorm which just had 3 beds and it was really comfortable and had enough space for storage. I especially loved the bar where you get a welcome drink every night and naturally get to talk to the other guests. The hostel feels like a home and is loved by neighbors as well who come by to the bar to chat with the guests. The staff is also really friendly and give you recommendations. I really really recommend this hostel to solo travelers who want to meet people and look for a cozy place!

Set in Shikano, GNARLY OWL features a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. All rooms come with a shared bathroom with a bidet, a hairdryer and slippers. The units will provide guests with a fridge. Owner is a super friendly and chill guy, great to have drinks with. The room i stayed in was a traditional one with tatami floors and a futon bed; both weren't too hard yet comfortable enough.

Set in Yasugi, 一棟貸し切り ゲストハウス Sai features a garden, shared lounge, BBQ facilities, and free WiFi throughout the property. Pool table, darts! Host was very friendly and answered quickly, accommodating easily as our arrival time was changing.

Drop Inn Tottori is situated in the centre of Tottori city, only a 5-minute walk from Tottori Station and a 3-minute walk from Tottori Station Bus Terminal. The inn was near transportation and was very clean. The staff are very welcoming and the individual cubicles are spacious and very well outfitted. Nothing to complain about there; everything was excellent 👌

L'Hostel Cuore Kurashiki es troba a Kurashiki, al districte històric de Bikan, a 10 minuts a peu de l'estació de tren JR de Kurashiki. It was a comfortable stay in an atmospheric part of Japan. Also, very conveniently located.
