I like Kobe Maya Guesthouse with its well situated location from 5-7mins walkable from Nada Station. Surroundings are quiet, but if you mind the train sound in the night time, please choose the other guesthouses (which I do not have any issue with this). Well maintain and everything needed are provided. Check-in is relatively easy. Maya is very thoughtful, if you're traveler and wanted to go Mountain Maya, you may check with them for the complimentary pass. They will guide you through and it's penniless for the absolutely beautiful scenic view on top of Mount. Maya! Thank you, Maya! Would like to be back soon~

西海岸オーガニック小麦畑1200坪眺望FarmStayYululu offers air-conditioned accommodation in Sumoto. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The cottage was beautifully made and smelt of cedar wood. The living room was so relaxing and we greatly enjoyed our stay. Homemade breakfast was so special! The host was very welcoming.

Situated in Kobe and within 2.7 km of Kobe Center for Overseas Migration and Cultural Interaction, Guesthouse NALUノ道 has a bar, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Takashi-san was very nice and approachable! The bunk beds compared to other hostels that I've stayed are much bigger and also the room only has two bunk beds and is spacious, which helps if you need to fix your luggage! :D The rooms are on the second floor which has one toilet for sharing. The second floor also has a public space. Two Shower rooms are downstairs along with another toilet that has a bidet. The location is also a 5mins walk from the nearest subway station! There's a 7/11 and Family Mart Konbini near the place! I also tried ordering a meal in the cafe - the hamburger set meal was Oishi! It was very filling also since it includes a rice and hamburger + sunny side egg on top of it while glazed with a special sauce. It also includes onion rings and fries! Overall, the place is very good and affordable, would recommend and go back again here :D

CCCOFFEE HOSTEL Kobe features a garden, shared lounge, a bar and casino in Kobe. The hostel is located above a bakery in a large room which doubles as a breakfast/dinning room. I didn't notice any kitchen/cooking facilities because I didn't need them but you can buy produce from the bakery and eat it in the room which is exceptionally well decorated, it was a pity I didn't have time to spend longer in it, the owner had a fine taste in furnishings and music. The rooms - I was in a female only dormitory and the weather was just right for the netted windows to be left open the whole night - sometimes it becomes a bit noisy but not to the extent to keep us awake. The AC was blasting cold air straight towards my bed so I told everyone that it can't be used overnight, I don't know how they manage during the hot, steamy summers, I was there in October. The showers and toilets, everything worked, very clean, absolutely no problems.

Set in Toyooka, 11 km from Soun-ji Temple, Toyooka guesthouse Hostel Act offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. Nice hostel in a quieter location. It is 20 min by train from Kinosaki Onsen and 30 min from beaches. Meg is a great host.

TONARINO Hostel for Backpackers is in a prime location in the centre of Kobe, and provides a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. Very nice staff/ owner (?) he gave me a keychain where he wrote Kobe on one side and my name on the other side, both in Japanese which was very kind!!

Offering a sun terrace and views of the city, T and K Hostel Kobe Sannomiya East is 10 minutes from Sannomiya Station by foot and train. Certain rooms include a seating area where you can relax. Loved this hostel. The couple that runs this place are amazing people. They were very accommodating and were very patient when I tried to speak some Japanese with them. This place is a good alternative to staying in Osaka, as osaka hotels can be expensive and booked up. If we return to Osaka area, we will 100% stay here again. Beds are comfortable, very spacious dorms, kitchen has everything you need to cook, and plenty of bathrooms and showers. Enjoyed our stay very much

Boasting a terrace, Hostel Yume-Nomad Kobe is set in Kobe in the Hyogo region, 3 km from Kobe Center for Overseas Migration and Cultural Interaction and 3.2 km from Noevir Stadium Kobe. This hostel has tons of character. Wandering the different hallways and just looking at the walls is very fun. The room is interesting- it's 2 people in a room with a small gap allowing you to see the other 2 people in the room next to you. The staff are kind, check-in was easy, the location is solid with a cool walk up a hill to arrive at the hostel. I did not try anything, but you get a small discount at their cafe.
