RoheN HAKONEYUMOTO in Hakone provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a shared lounge and a terrace. Hostellissa yöpyville laukkulokero oli todella tilava, jonne sai mahtumaan helposti ison matkalaukun. Kaikki yleiset tilat olivat todella siistejä ja esteettisesti kauniita. Joka ilta sai ilmaisen welcome drinkin, mikä oli myös kiva extra.

HakoneHOSTEL1914 is located in Hakone, 6 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Train and bus services are available. All rooms are air conditioned. Shared bathroom. The lady working there is an angel, she was so helpful and made our stay even better with local suggestions, transportation knowledge (ex take train instead of bus to avoid traffic- we would ve missed our train otherwise), checking restaurants and onsen availability and making reservations for us) and the room we had was so comfortable and cute. She made our laundry and shared some local sake and created such a good vibe in the hostel with everyone.

Onsen Hostel K's House Hakone sijaitsee 15 minuutin kävelymatkan tai 4 minuutin bussimatkan päässä Hakone Yumoto -asemalta. Easily the most positive surprise during my trip as I booked the last available bed quite late. Very good bed(double in the dorm room), comfortable with quite a lot of storage space and your own window! They change towels daily as well which was a big plus. Toilets outside of the room which is always great, the onsen was such an amazing thing to have right in the hostel after a day of hiking, it’s small but can fit about 8 people and is a very relaxing experience. The staff were very nice and helpful with good tips for hiking and food in the area. The common areas! They were truly amazing with nice decor and good facilities, the kitchen well-stocked and two guest fridges. The main living room is spacious with plenty of seating and various board games to be played and a terrace! Overall it was an amazing stay and I didn’t not expect to meet such great people. The walk to the hostel from the station is not that bad! Just a steep incline for about 5 minutes other than that pretty easy if you just have a backpack.

Situated within 38 km of Nikko Station and 38 km of Tobu Nikko Station, Guesthouse Kincha 駅東口 features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Utsunomiya. I have stayed in many guesthouses before, and this is one of the shared houses I like the most. It is very clean and comfortable. The common space is also cozy. It is very close to Utsunomiya Station and just a 2-minute walk to the best gyoza restaurant in Utsunomiya. The host is very nice. If I visit Utsunomiya again, I will definitely stay at this guesthouse. Highly recommended!

Craig, the owner, and his staff were fantastic. Always happy to help and he even offered me a ride to and from the station. They have e-bikes you can use and they provide precious informations about the area.

Set within 200 metres of The Shitaya Shrine and 600 metres of Tokaku-ji Temple, 上野之家分館家庭房 offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tokyo. It’s super clean and nice. And the owner is super friendly, they let us check in early and let us put our luggage’s at their place after we check out.

Located in Kawagoe, ちゃぶだい Guesthouse, Cafe&Bar features a garden, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. The host was super friendly, always happy to chat and answer questions about history and tradition and helped me find my way around Kawagoe, showed me all the must see spots, bars and restaurants. There’s also a little garden in the back and the bar area seems to be the local hang out spot in the evening which is super cool.

Featuring a terrace, bar and views of river, Hostel Chapter Two Tokyo is located in Tokyo, 100 metres from Asakusa Station. Good location with the local house style accommodation. Lovely deck for early night and a good view . I love Welcome-Beer. So next time I will stay in this hostel.

Attractively set in the Nakano district of Tokyo, GrapeHouse Koenji is situated 500 metres from Keimei Park, less than 1 km from Yamato Park and a 8-minute walk from Mabashi Park. The privacy and the quiet environment Also since it was all women it was extremely safe.
