Hilo Hostel se encuentra en Nara, a 10 min a pie de Estación de tren de Nara y a 18 km de Iwafune Shrine. The owners are extremely attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet. I slept on the last floor, so for guests carrying a big luggage, I recommend to bring a duffel bag or similar to bring your belongings upstairs. Although the owners did not hesitate for a second to bring my luggage, it was good sense to leave it on the ground floor and bringing only the items to be used (toiletry, pajamas, etc). The shared room has enough space to circulate. If you prefer to sleep in the dark, I recommend you bring the sleeping mask, as the lights remain on until the last guest sleeps. The shower is good , and you will have a nice hot water. The location is very close to the train station and to the Sanjo Dori street.

Yuzan Guesthouse se encuentra en Nara, a 15 min a pie de Estación de tren de Nara, y ofrece jardín, habitaciones libres de humo, wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento y terraza. It’s a lovely place, run by very kind people. Breakfast was delicious. The shared areas were clean and comfortable. It’s a beautiful older Japanese house which made the stay even more special.

El Piece Hostel Kyoto, inaugurado en abril de 2013, ofrece instalaciones totalmente nuevas en una ubicación excelente, a solo 5 minutos a pie de la estación de tren JR de Kioto. Espacio privado. Un mix entre hostel y hotel genial.

Pension Sora está en Nachikatsuura, a 18 min a pie de Playa de Nachi, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y salón de uso común. The owner and the staff were incredibly kind, the rooms were clean and the views were amazing. The owner even took us to the fish market in the morning when the buses weren’t working yet. We were overall very happy with our stay. Will definitely come here again:)

城崎温泉 HOSTEL Waraku, que cuenta con terraza, se encuentra en la región de Hyōgo, Kinosaki, a 2,4 km de Kinumaki Shrine y a 3,9 km de Seto Shrine. It’s really clean and very accessible.

Charlie's Bed está en Wakayama, a 2 min a pie de Takanoji Temple, y dispone de servicio de conserjería, habitaciones libres de humo, salón de uso común, wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento y terraza. Staff was extreamly helpful. Got recommendation for a great sashimi bar/restaurant that ended up being one of my two favourite restaurants on my trip. The guesthouse was really clean and good space to store a bike inside.

Guest House mii es un alojamiento con una ubicación ideal en el centro de Osaka que ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado, salón de uso común, wifi gratis y terraza. Super cozy spot and quite central. The host was really friendly and the room was perfectly comfortable. No complaints and would definitely book again.

Hostel Caranashi está muy bien situado en el barrio de Uehommachi, Tennoji, Sur de Osaka, Osaka, a 8 min a pie de The Osaka Korean Church in Japan, a 1,3 km de Osaka Seiwa Church y a 15 min a pie de... Amazing stay! The guesthouse owners are incredibly kind and attentive, and you can feel the love and attention to detail in every corner. Super convenient location, too. Best stay in Japan so far!

Guesthouse Izame Ann se encuentra en Nagaoka, a 15 km de Castillo Hikone, y ofrece alojamiento con bicicletas gratis, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y bar. Well worth the effort to travel to experience a lovely ryokan, it's host and the town. I paid for dinner and I'm SO glad I did. It was a highlight of my stay and in deed a highlight of my 5 week trip in Japan. You sit in a sunken seating area and watch the ryokan owner/cook prepare what felt like a large number of individual dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about hearing other guests because, being an older house, the walls are thin - but the night I was there all the guests were respectfully quiet. I had a view over the "river" which may be a mis-nomer - but it is a peaceful stream running through the pretty street. I highly recommend a visit.
