Hilo Hostel is located in Nara, within less than 1 km of Nara Station and 18 km of Iwafune Shrine. Featuring a shared lounge, this 3-star hostel has air-conditioned rooms with a shared bathroom. The owners are extremely attentive and helpful. The atmosphere is welcoming and quiet. I slept on the last floor, so for guests carrying a big luggage, I recommend to bring a duffel bag or similar to bring your belongings upstairs. Although the owners did not hesitate for a second to bring my luggage, it was good sense to leave it on the ground floor and bringing only the items to be used (toiletry, pajamas, etc). The shared room has enough space to circulate. If you prefer to sleep in the dark, I recommend you bring the sleeping mask, as the lights remain on until the last guest sleeps. The shower is good , and you will have a nice hot water. The location is very close to the train station and to the Sanjo Dori street.

Located in Nara and with Nara Station reachable within 1.3 km, Yuzan Guesthouse provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. It’s a lovely place, run by very kind people. Breakfast was delicious. The shared areas were clean and comfortable. It’s a beautiful older Japanese house which made the stay even more special.

Huhtikuussa 2013 upouusien palvelujen kera avattu Piece Hostel Kyoto sijaitsee kätevällä paikalla vain 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä JR Kyoto -asemalta. Everything was perfect: location (very close to central station), amazing hostel style, very comfortable beds, everything was super clean, super nice and friendly staff. Great common area with coffee and tea. Very comfortable shower room (with Dyson air dryers)

Situated in Nachikatsuura, 1.6 km from Nachi Beach, Pension Sora features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The owner and the staff were incredibly kind, the rooms were clean and the views were amazing. The owner even took us to the fish market in the morning when the buses weren’t working yet. We were overall very happy with our stay. Will definitely come here again:)

Featuring a terrace, 城崎温泉 HOSTEL Waraku is located in Kinosaki in the Hyogo region, 2.4 km from Kinumaki Shrine and 3.9 km from Seto Shrine. It’s really clean and very accessible.

Set in Wakayama and with Takanoji Temple reachable within 200 metres, Charlie's Bed offers concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. Staff was extreamly helpful. Got recommendation for a great sashimi bar/restaurant that ended up being one of my two favourite restaurants on my trip. The guesthouse was really clean and good space to store a bike inside.

Attractively set in Osaka, Guest House mii features air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a terrace. Super cozy spot and quite central. The host was really friendly and the room was perfectly comfortable. No complaints and would definitely book again.

Situated conveniently in the Uehommachi, Tennoji, Southern Osaka district of Osaka, Hostel Caranashi is situated 700 metres from The Osaka Korean Church in Japan, 1.3 km from Osaka Seiwa Church and... Everything! The room is spacious, to my surprise and they also have a full-length mirror. Lounge is very cozy and stuffed with good selection of tea and snacks. Ken is very friendly!

Located in Nagaoka, 15 km from Hikone Castle, Guesthouse Izame Ann provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a shared lounge and a bar. Omistaja on erittäin mukava ja avulias. Teki minulle itse kalastetusta kalasta ruokaa. Majatalo on erittäin siisti vaikka ei ole omia kylpyhuoneita.
