We loved the location and the room, very big and as described! We will be back! Furthermore, the two cats around the hostel are just so wonderful it makes the experience even better.

Situated in Kumamoto, 2.4 km from Suizenji Park, 旅の途中 On the trip features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a shared lounge and a bar. I had an amazing stay at On The Trip – truly one of the most comfortable hostels I’ve ever been to! My room was small but very cozy, private, and had the authentic feel of Japan. The whole place is stylish, clean, and full of Japanese vibes. They even provided me with a fresh set of towels after a few days and prepared food for me on my last day, which was such a thoughtful touch. The owners are incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help – truly wonderful people! I felt very welcome and am extremely grateful for the time I spent here. I’m honestly sad to leave and would love to come back again. As for the location – it’s not right in the city center, but there are several bus stops nearby, so getting around is very easy. And for One Piece fans, this hostel is a perfect choice – the Luffy statue is just a pleasant 30-minute walk away, and from there it’s also easy to reach some other statues. Konditsioneeriga majutusasutus HIKE asub Tamanas, Hirayama kuumaveeallikast 20 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on ühine puhkeruum. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was large and clean. Our room was the family room with a decent sized playhouse inside where the kids play and even sleep. The building is old, but has been remodeled and is comfortable. The baked goods in the cafe on the 1st floor are delicious, and the cafe is whimsical and charming. There’s a kid’s playroom at the back of the cafe which was great for us, a group with lots of kids. There are also many ceramic wares by local artists for sale. I’d like to visit when the weather is cooler and explore the neighborhood.
