There is husband and wife managing the property and they were very kind to me. The whole hostel is built in samurai style which I found really cool and interesting. It is quite far from the city centre but they borrowed me a bike which i could use anytime.

HIKE ligger i Tamana, 20 kilometer fra Hirayama varme kilde, og har boenheter med klimaanlegg, i tillegg til en fellesstue. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was large and clean. Our room was the family room with a decent sized playhouse inside where the kids play and even sleep. The building is old, but has been remodeled and is comfortable. The baked goods in the cafe on the 1st floor are delicious, and the cafe is whimsical and charming. There’s a kid’s playroom at the back of the cafe which was great for us, a group with lots of kids. There are also many ceramic wares by local artists for sale. I’d like to visit when the weather is cooler and explore the neighborhood.
