It’s a very beautiful house with an amazing and welcoming owner! We loved the location and the room, very big and as described! We will be back! Furthermore, the two cats around the hostel are just so wonderful it makes the experience even better.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and gave me directions for sightseeing around town. The self check-in was also very straightforward. Would gladly stay again, Hyuga City was an underrated gem!

Warm and friendly hosts that made us feel super welcome! We hope to come back again to stay at this awesome family-run hostel. They have a lovely big kitchen and dining area for guests to cook and hangout. Located right across the road from a great surfing beach with bikes for free and surfboard & wetsuit rentals. Lots of things in biking distance if you don't have a car and we took a train nearby that took us to the airport when leaving. Emi and Sok also offer surfing lessons and surf-skate lessons which we didn't sign up for but heard good things about from other guests. Super clean and wifi was good (my partner had to do a video meeting while there). The suggestions from our hosts on which breaks to go to so we could get some great surfs in were also really appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay that capped off our awesome time in Kyushu!!

Situated in Akune, 24 km from Sendai-kō, Shioya Hostel features accommodation with free bikes, free private parking and a shared lounge. Very clean, stylish hostel with large rooms that are thoughtfully put together. Hosts were helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. We were bike touring and they had a large indoor area where we could safely store our bikes overnight. Restaurants within walking distance. Thank you for having us!

Conveniently situated in the Yufuin Onsen district of Yufu, Yufuin Country Road Youth Hostel is located 49 km from Crasus Dome Oita, 2 km from Kinrinko Lake and 27 km from Beppu Station. Absolutely love this place and people!! Ryo and Tomo are top notch host with attention to details, professionalism and with full of positive energy. Place is impeccably clean, cozy and warm with super cool onsen. I've had two wonderful meals and enjoyed every bite of it. Also have enjoyed the after dinner 2000 hr walking under the star lights. I really liked the couple that run the place. They keep it so clean and the community room is very user-friendly. It was comfortable as a solo female traveler. It’s a great location, easy to walk to the airport, grocery store, and restaurants. I would definitely stay again.

Shiori-san is the kindest, most helpful host. She showed us around Fukutsu in a personal way that made us feel better about traveling during the holidays, because we never felt far from home around her. The rooms and common area are exceedingly clean, comfortable, and cozy -- you won't want to leave!
