They have a lovely big kitchen and dining area for guests to cook and hangout. Located right across the road from a great surfing beach with bikes for free and surfboard & wetsuit rentals. Lots of things in biking distance if you don't have a car and we took a train nearby that took us to the airport when leaving. Emi and Sok also offer surfing lessons and surf-skate lessons which we didn't sign up for but heard good things about from other guests. Super clean and wifi was good (my partner had to do a video meeting while there). The suggestions from our hosts on which breaks to go to so we could get some great surfs in were also really appreciated. Thank you for a wonderful stay that capped off our awesome time in Kyushu!!

The accommodation price includes breakfast, and the facilities, such as the bathroom and shower, are very well maintained. It felt like they had prepared everything everywhere, just in case you might need something. I stayed here for two nights, slept really well, and was able to finish my personal laptop work comfortably thanks to the well-equipped lounge area. The beach is just a five-minute walk away, and while you need a car to reach the famous tourist spots, they are not too far.

Conveniently located in the Aoshima Onsen district of Miyazaki, Aoshima Guesthouse Hooju is set 1.1 km from Aoshima Shrine, 1.3 km from Kodomo-no-Kuni and 4.8 km from Horikiri Pass. This hostel is super international and you can meet a lot of young back packers and exchange the information about next destinations. Also many back packers came here to stay just several days but they extend their stay because this town is calm and good for surfing and chill. I made a couple of friends here from European countries and exchanged contact for someday we meet up in some other places like south East Asian countries or in their home countries. It was a good experience for me and can’t wait to come back here to meet them again and go surfing!!

Its right in the centre of Obi, close to the supermarket and old town, restaurants etc. The owner was very helpful although my Japanese was terrible she was very friendly and patient.
