In total I Stayed 6 weeks with Emi and Soku and I had an amazing stay. (One month and later I came back for 2 weeks) The rooms are big enough, it's possible to slide your suitcase under the bed and there are hooks to hang stuff. They are basically ready for any situation. Bigger groups and single guests. And if you are lucky you might end up alone in a clean room, in a comfy normal single or double bed for the price of a dorm! There is a clean kitchen area with 2 stoves, rice cooker, microwave and a small oven and enough pans, plates ect, to make nice dinners. All the rooms are provided with airconditioning and heater if needed. Next to that you are able to rent bicyles, surkskates and surfboards. Also Soku provides skate and surflessons. And the best are Emi en Soku themselves, they are so helpful alsways try to think from the perspective of the guests. In one word, like I said before, just amazing. If you are in this area I would definitly suggest to stay at this place. The location is a bit remote. Busses and trains just ride at certain times. It just needs some planning to get here. Also you can just contact Emi and Soku if you need some help with that. Supermarkets are a bit far. The closest konbini is 10 minutes by bike. But again Emi and Soku can give you a ride to the Supermarket sometimes and with planning your food a bit it's not a problem at all So it's not all around the corner, but instead you get a nice quiet experience in Aoshima, one of Japan's paradises.

Die Unterkunft fan! ABURATSU verfügt über eine Terrasse und Grillmöglichkeiten, ist in Nichinan gelegen, 500 m von Horikawa Bridge und 13 km von Udo-jingu-Schrein entfernt. Very nice and quirky hostel with everything you need. Nice staff and fair price.

Dieses Hostel – optimal gelegen im Bezirk Aoshima Onsen – befindet sich 1,1 km von Aoshima Shrine, 1,3 km von Themenpark Kodomo-no-Kuni und 4,8 km von Horikiri Pass entfernt. Nice and warm atmosphere hostel, I’ve booked for 4 days at first and end up staying for almost a month, the owner have different option for different type of travellers, dorms , single room , double rooms and also a traditional wooden house in a forest you can find everyone of them on the name Hooju. I’ve been in the dorms , the atmosphere is amazing , you can meet a lot of surfers and travellers from all around the world, the location is just 2 minutes walking from the surf spot and you can also rent wetsuits, board and bike here. Every day the kitchen, bathrooms and bedroom was cleaned by the stuff. The wifi is fast! And the owner is soo friendly and he will help you with your experience , there’s also always some of the stuff employees around the place so you can ask easily to them everything you need. Oh I forgot to say , this hostel is the cheapest I’ve ever found in Japan and for what it offers I really recommend it!

I really enjoyed my stay at Hostel Marika - ホステルマリカ. The staff were friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. I had the opportunity to make new friends, learn more about Japanese culture, and practice my language skills, which made the experience even more enriching.
