Just a 10-minute walk from JR Kurashiki Station, Hostel Cuore Kurashiki is located in a historic Bikan district in Kurashiki. Each guest room features unique design and stylish interior. It was a comfortable stay in an atmospheric part of Japan. Also, very conveniently located.

Hibari House Guest house is located a 10-minute drive from Okayama Station, from where guests can reach Hiroshima Station in 40 minutes by train and Shin-Osaka Station in 50 minutes. Great clean and friendly hostel above a bar in the main strip area. Good access to everything. Dryers and shower were super nice.

Went above and beyond to help and find solutions to everything that was needed and talked to me and I felt less alone. Property is really pretty and clean, beds were comfy and the bar was also really really nice.

We arrived late and we had no issues checking in. The location is super convenient for getting the ferry to nearby islands!

Mr Sakamoto was a wonderful host! He does his job well as local town tourist information manager. He welcomed us, gave us some maps and answered our questions. It’s a converted Japanese house, not a hotel. We stayed in the cheaper dormitory part of the property. It was adequate. In the dormitory side the two rooms are upstairs and the toilet and small shower are downstairs. The toilets were clean and the kitchenette area under the stairs was adequate for simple dinner and breakfast we had. The local supermarket is a short distance away by car and open 9a-9p. Plenty of selection available. We enjoyed a morning walk along the lovely little river and through the town and countryside. The firefly park and pavilion were a short drive away but they were interesting to see. We’d love to go back in the spring during cherry blossom season and in early June for the firefly season. The stars were beautiful since there’s little light pollution!
