Well worth the effort to travel to experience a lovely ryokan, it's host and the town. I paid for dinner and I'm SO glad I did. It was a highlight of my stay and in deed a highlight of my 5 week trip in Japan. You sit in a sunken seating area and watch the ryokan owner/cook prepare what felt like a large number of individual dishes. The food was absolutely delicious. I was concerned about hearing other guests because, being an older house, the walls are thin - but the night I was there all the guests were respectfully quiet. I had a view over the "river" which may be a mis-nomer - but it is a peaceful stream running through the pretty street. I highly recommend a visit.

More than just a bed, I was able to find friends there and spend moments that I will remember for a long time. This place is full of kindness and I hit the road with a smile. If you are looking for rest, this is the perfect place. In his hostel, Jiro San offers decent places, games rooms, a very well-equipped kitchen, as well as a sauna hand made by the owner. You can even share a meal with your host if you offer ☺️

Nagtatampok ng hardin, bar, at mga tanawin ng bundok, ang Youth Hostel WANIHAMA-Beach side Lake BIWA ay matatagpuan sa Otsu, 15 km mula sa Sanzen-in Temple. We got a room with its own toilet and bathroom for a great price. Traditional tatami style room makes it feel very humble and homely. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - they drove us to the station very early in the morning.

Mayroon ang GYPSY TAKASHIMA ng mga libreng bisikleta, hardin, shared lounge, at terrace sa Katsuno. Amazing value for a big room in a comfortable, hostel-style accommodation. Takashima is a very quiet and beautiful town on the lake, and this is the perfect place to stay. Highly recommended!!

Nagtatampok ng terrace at bar, ang 片原楽家 旅人の長浜町家ドミトリー ay matatagpuan sa Nagahama, 14 km mula sa Hikone Castle at 8.9 km mula sa Maibara Station. The capsule room was so cozy and suitable for me. I have a good sleep yesterday.

Matatagpuan sa Minami-komatsu, 24 km mula sa Sanzen-in Temple, ang Biwa-Lakeside Cottage B B Dylan ay naglalaan ng accommodation na may hardin, libreng private parking, shared lounge, at terrace. We loved how accomodating and nice the staff were they were always making sure the space/ our room was tidy and neat and provided us with fresh linen, towels and robes daily. They cooked us meals and treated us like family! The location is beautiful right on the lake with amazing sunrises and sunsets and just a short 10 minuet walk to the station or a 15 minuet walk to 711. We honestly can’t fault anything about this property and can’t wait to stay again!
