He picked us up at the station and was very attentive at all times. Will go back.

Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. I like the design of the hostel! It is so beautiful, and the staff here is kindly!

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. It's an absolute gem of a location. So cozy and peaceful. It felt like I was back in my grandparents' room, only it's in Japan. It sucks that you have to share the building with other people and use the same facilities, but if you're staying for 1-2 nights, you will not regret your stay!

I've never been in an hostel with so much space! You can drink coffee and tea and rent bikes for free. It's close to the Kawaguchi Lake which offers a nice view on Mt. Fuji. When the weather is nice, you can see Mt. Fuji even from the hostel. The shower rooms are typical Japanese style and spacious as well. You can lock the doors and have your privacy, too. The price is soooo good for what you get!

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hostel was squeaky clean. The bathrooms are either new or were remodeled recently and are in pristine condition. The bed in the dorm was very comfortable and cozy. They offer free bicycles, tea/coffee, and Japanese snacks. There's a lovely rooftop with lounge chairs and a view of Mount Fuji. Not a party place. Definitely, one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at. Highly recommend.

Machiko was very kind and helpful for us. We're going back from Mt.Fuji and overdue for check-in, but anyway, we found the best solution and got the cozy and clean room for rest and recovery.

Chill atmosphere of a hang out place for friends, yet very clean and comfortable by hotel standards. Good location close to Oishi park with stunning views of Fuji (if the weather allows). I think it's a good place to let yourself relax for a couple of days.
