Set in Valladolid and within 45 km of Chichen Itza, Hostel Casa Xtakay has a garden, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Everything was great here. The clean room, delicious breakfast, the pretty garden, friendly atmosphere, etc. The hosts especially made this stay memorable. They had so many tips not just for attractions and restaurants around the area but how to avoid certain scams going around, discount vouchers and so much more. We really enjoyed our stay here. We also rented a scooter for 2 days and drove around everywhere.

Jacque's Beachside Hostel has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Progreso. Jacque was a delight to chat with. Dogs are adorable and so friendly. Beds are very comfortable, sheets very fresh - I slept great! Good shower. The house itself is really nice and close to the beach. I liked the outdoor seating areas as well. Highly recommended!

Well situated in Mérida, Casa Amate 61 - Mérida centro offers air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. This is the best hotel/hostel I have ever stayed at. It felt like a tiny resort somewhere in the dessert. It is located 20 min walk from the center. It’s also quiet so you can work by the pool and head out to town in the evening when the temperature goes down

Great location, just a 3-minute walk from both the ADO bus station and colectivo stops. The room and showers were comfortable, and the kitchen has been recently renovated, which made my stay really pleasant. Everything was spotless and I had no issues with cleanliness. Javier is honestly the best host I’ve met during all my hostel stays — very kind, always ready to chat, and extremely helpful. He gave me great advice to make the most of my trip.

First off, the hotel’s location is super convenient, just a short walk from the bus station, making our arrival in Valladolid a breeze. Our private room was a good size and comfortable, and we really appreciated the cold water filter at reception. While they offered social events, we were so busy exploring we didn’t have time to join in. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, cenotes, and how to get to Chichen Itza. They offered great deals and discounts for cenote visits, which saved us money and even scored us free drinks. Originally, we had planned to do their transport tour, but the option to rent a scooter and explore on our own—avoiding the crowds—was a game-changer and made our trip so much more memorable. We genuinely feel that booking here helped us get the most out of Valladolid

Excellent location, very close to Paseo Montejo and Paseo 60 where you can have food and drinks. Walking distance to get Va y Ven buses and combis to downtown and Malls. The kitchen is well equipped that make you feel like home. The staff members are young but eager to help us if we get questions.
