We recommend a longer stay in Barentsburg to taste some of its vibe of humble, genuine, peaceful, friendly creativity in an amazing setting. We stayed one week, could easily have stayed longer. This hotel offers budget accommodation on the Arctic Ocean island of Svalbard. Communal facilities include a kitchen and TV lounge. Snowmobile safaris, dog sledding and glacier walks can be arranged. This is actually the place I always wanted to stay when I'm in Svalbard. Everything was perfect, warm and cozy room with a cool view from the window. Walking distance from the center of Longyearbyen, which was quite refreshing and invigorating. Cool attitude from the people at the reception and good food for breakfast and dinner. Fair price, quality - I recommend! And bonus, if you are lucky enough to have the Northern Lights you are a few steps away in a relatively dark area where you can see them well!
