Located in the heart of the city of Wellington,The Marion Hostel offers a range of backpacker accommodation and features a rooftop terrace. The place was very clean, warm, and comfortable. The facilities were amazing, including a very well-equipped kitchen. You could take a hot shower, and there was plenty of space for your towels and clothes. The people there were also very friendly. Another great feature was the on-site laundry service, which was very convenient.

Located in Plimmerton and with Plimmerton Beach reachable within 1.7 km, Moana Lodge provides a tour desk, non-smoking rooms, a garden, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. This beautiful seaside accommodation provided everything and more than I expected. I decided to book the first three nights to rest after catching an illness and I ended up spending five nights there because it was so peaceful and homely; it honestly felt like recuperating at my own house. The room was comfy, warm and clean, the toilets spotless and the showers hot and roomy. The kitchen is modern and really well equipped, especially for such a small place. It had everything and beyond of what I needed. The lounge is super cozy and has a great view of the seaside while the garden is a great place to enjoy a meal in the sun. All of the staff were super friendly and the owner kept on checking how I was feeling which I found really nice. Not to mention the value, which is beyond great for what you get, with a great location and comfortable stay. Overall, it is thanks to Moana Lodge that I'm back on the road so quickly and I'll never forget my time there.

Situated in Wellington and with Freyberg Beach reachable within 1.3 km, House of Pirie features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a shared lounge. Wonderful old Victorian building, loved the high ceilings. Good kitchens, quiet and free laundry was a nice bonus. Was in a six bed dorm and although everyone kept different hours everyone was considerate of the others in the room. Also well located to explore Wellington. Note - The number 2 bus drops you off just up the hill from the hostel if you arrived by ferry from the south island.

Hotel Waterloo & Backpackers offers budget accommodation in the centre of Wellington. It features a 24-hour guest kitchen, self-service laundry facilities and a games room with pool tables. Great location, friendly checkin, private room had all amenities and it was surprisingly very quiet.

Located in the heart of the city, Capital Wellington Backpackers offers 5-star backpackers accommodation. It is a 5-minute walk from Wellington's stunning waterfront. El poder gaudir d'una habitació privada va ser fantàstic. La neteja tant de les zones comunes com l'habitació era molt alta. El personal de l'allotjament era molt amable i es preocupaven en poder solucionar qualsevol problema que poguessis tenir. El llit era bastant còmode. Els lavabos estaven molt nets, i les dutxes també. El poder controlar la temperatura de l'habitació amb un calefactor per si feia fred feia que poguessis estar a una temperatura agradable. Si feia calor el podies apagar o simplement obrir la finestra. La zona de la cuina era molt ample i estava tot ben indicat per a què guardessis les teves compres tant dins com fora de la nevera. La neteja de la cuina era a càrrec del personal però òbviament tothom havia de netejar el que embrutés. El tamany de l'habitació individual era molt gran, més gran del esperat.

Beds: Super comfortable mattress with good pillows; slept really well. Cleanliness: Spotless room and bathroom; housekeeping was consistent daily. Overall: 4.5/5 – would happily stay again.
