Located in the heart of the city of Wellington,The Marion Hostel offers a range of backpacker accommodation and features a rooftop terrace. Central location, beautiful space, friendly people. I loved the box system for the fridge, so well organised. This is in my TOP3 list of the most beautiful & stylish hostel’s interiors.

Multiple clean and comfortable toilets and showers. A big kitchen with all you need to cook and enjoy a meal. A dining room with multiple tables for guests. A front room with views of the water. A beautiful outdoor space. Easy laundry and lines to hang items. The bed was comfortable and the sound of the water was amazing to sleep to. The check in was smooth and staff was friendly.

Discover the vibrant pulse of New Zealand’s capital at Haka House Wellington! The location is quite superb if you're relying on public transport - it's a few minutes away from Courtenay Place, which is a major bus stop; it is also right in front of a large supermarket. The room I was in was small, but appropriately sized for 2 beds, as opposed to the room I had in Auckland within the same chain. Luckily I didn't share the room with anyone else, but even if I had, there would have still been plenty of space. I only used the kitchen and lounge to fill up my water bottle, but the space looked spacious and well-equipped. But otherwise there were plenty of restaurants on a wide range of budget. The staff were friendly and helpful too.

Wonderful old Victorian building, loved the high ceilings. Good kitchens, quiet and free laundry was a nice bonus. Was in a six bed dorm and although everyone kept different hours everyone was considerate of the others in the room. Also well located to explore Wellington. Note - The number 2 bus drops you off just up the hill from the hostel if you arrived by ferry from the south island.
