Loving Strangers Hostel features a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and bar in Madalena. The accommodation provides karaoke and a shared kitchen. Aptly named — by the time you leave Loving Strangers, they’re no longer strangers. Stefan greets you with a hug and hosts like a long-lost friend, whipping up legendary breakfasts (and dinners that had everyone raving, though I sadly missed out). The hostel itself is a gem: spotless, comfy beds, great amenities, and full of the kind of people you’ll wish you had more nights to talk with. Basically, it’s the kind of place that makes you miss it before you’ve even left.

Situated in Madalena, Jardim das Camélias has a garden, shared lounge, terrace, and free WiFi throughout the property. Rooms are equipped with a balcony with a garden view. Jardim das Camelias is perfectly located in Madalena (many restaurants close by, walking distance) and we were lucky to get the room with mountain view so we woke up each morning seeing Pico. The kitchen was very well equipped, everything was very clean and the house was renovated in a very nice way. Checking in and out and communication with the owners were very smooth, they were also extremely helpful and friendly. Totally recommend Jardim das Camelias, 10/10!

Engenho Hostel is located on the beachfront in Lajes do Pico. The hostel features family rooms. New and very beautiful apartment and common spaces. Great communication and very easy check-in.

It is in the centre of town that you can walk everywhere. The natural pools and the ferry are a very quick walk. You have a view of Faial and you can see the sunset every evening. A treat is the breakfast they layout every morning

L'edifici en si és molt bonic, espai exterior molt ampli, habitació molt espaiosa. Bones vistes des de l'habitació. Les taules al davant de la sala de l'esmorzar són molt agradables, just al claustre de l'edifici. Seria bona idea posar-ne més, tot i que sempre hi vam trobar lloc. La sensació d'estar en un edifici històric és molt agradable.

This Azorean guest house is a 15-minute walk from the sea and features comfortable accommodation overlooking Faial and the Pico Mountain, the highest point in Portugal. Excellent breakfast, many options. Also loved the location and that there was a pool which my grandson used almost everyday. The apartment was clean and towels were changed everyday. Any issues were quickly dealt with.
