Located in Esposende, 1.3 km from Bonança Beach, Hostel do Alto - Fão provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hostel is so very nice. Perfect if you are a pilgrim doing the El Camino. You have nearby restaurants very good. It is near the main road for El Camino and the wifi is great. The bathrooms are very nice as well.

This was our choice to stay the night before we started the Camino and I couldn’t imagine a better place to start. Ana and Pedro welcome you into their home like family. Please don’t pass up the pilgrim dinner…Pedro is an excellent chef and spending time with the family and other pilgrims is priceless! This location does add about 4-5km to your pilgrimage from Valença but it is well worth the extra distance. We started out in the cold rain but and ended up spending most of our pilgrimage in the cold rain but I could always hear Ana’s encouraging words to just embrace whatever comes and we did! Obligado Ana y Pedro!

Set in Esposende, Hostel Eleven has a shared lounge, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. Easily the best place I have stayed in my two caminos (frances and portuguese). Sparklingly clean, wonderful host who absolutely makes you feel at home. They helped me with everything I needed and also completely gave me space to unwind and decompress. Clean fully equipped kitchen, free coffee and milk, and tea, and snacks and treats for sale (chocolate, wine) and space in the fridge. There is an outdoor area to sit, but its so perfectly located - right on the camino when you first arrive in esposende and and just about a hundred meters from all kinds of shops, coffee, plaza etc. There is a laundry across the street with fast and good washer and dryer. I stayed an extra day and washed my clothes, bought hiking poles and a better backpack ( mine was terrible) - everything was available and easy to get too. I bought groceries and cooked and saved money that way. The room was suprisingly huge, and there was a blessed SPACE HEATER that kept my room nice and toasty in cold november. Truly excellent. If I ever come back to Esposende I will definitely stay here again.

Well set in the Old Town district of Braga, Casa Gaea Stay is located 100 metres from Braga Se Cathedral, 4.1 km from University of Minho - Gualtar Campus and 25 km from Salado Memorial. Everything was perfect from the the comfy beds with curtains for privacy, the locked cupboards for security and all the facilities.

Situated in Geres and within 17 km of Parque Nacional da Peneda Geres, Casa da Fonte - Gerês has a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. The location was wonderful! We had a nice view from our room overlooking the mountains. It was very clean and peaceful. We really enjoyed the breakfast as well.

The food is amazing, the staff are awesome and so friendly and helpful, the room was so clean, everything smelled like new and fresh. I admire the hostel it was really really good! Definitely return here again!!!! Hopefully more than once.
