Great selection - good for vegetarians. The host was super sweet and made us feel very welcome. The house is homely. We had a pastel de nata waiting for us in our room.

The outside garden with lemon tree is amazing and you can buy drinks in the hostel for a cheap price.

It was great that the host was onsite in the afternoon and the morning and interacted with the guests.

The House of Sandeman is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, within the historic building of the Port Wine Cellars of Sandeman. Location/ conditions/ great staff

Objekat Hostel Eleven, koji je smešten u gradu Espozende, ima zajednički salon, terasu, bar i besplatan WiFi u celom objektu. Easily the best place I have stayed in my two caminos (frances and portuguese). Sparklingly clean, wonderful host who absolutely makes you feel at home. They helped me with everything I needed and also completely gave me space to unwind and decompress. Clean fully equipped kitchen, free coffee and milk, and tea, and snacks and treats for sale (chocolate, wine) and space in the fridge. There is an outdoor area to sit, but its so perfectly located - right on the camino when you first arrive in esposende and and just about a hundred meters from all kinds of shops, coffee, plaza etc. There is a laundry across the street with fast and good washer and dryer. I stayed an extra day and washed my clothes, bought hiking poles and a better backpack ( mine was terrible) - everything was available and easy to get too. I bought groceries and cooked and saved money that way. The room was suprisingly huge, and there was a blessed SPACE HEATER that kept my room nice and toasty in cold november. Truly excellent. If I ever come back to Esposende I will definitely stay here again.

This hostel is located in the historical Aliados area in downtown Porto, in a restored 1930’s Art Deco building. It is 300 metres from the Porto Train Station and includes free Wi-Fi for all guests. It's an excellent place to stay. The location is perfect, in a strategic spot for sightseeing and with easy access to transportation (buses and metro). A bus that goes directly to the airport even stops right on the corner. The facilities are clean and nice, and the staff is super friendly. The only downside is that it doesn't seem to have a good heating system, as it was very cold at night, and you have to use a lot of stairs with your suitcases; there's no elevator. Besides that, everything was nice.
