From Pilgrims for Pilgrims. - Ana has a great heart and helps really to get most out of the pilgrimage to Santiago. Giving also background information, as well learnings from her own pilgrimage helps a lot. I enjoyed the dinner with other pilgrims a lot - a very nice exchange. The pool in the garden is as well a nice way to cool down your feet.

I stayed at the Spot Hostel while walking the Camino de Santiago and it was the perfect stay. Most of the rooms are private, but in the common areas you get to relax with other pilgrims. Fão, where the Hostel is located is a charming village and has restaurants if you don’t want to use the kitchen at the hostel.

The House of Sandeman is located in Vila Nova de Gaia, within the historic building of the Port Wine Cellars of Sandeman. Location is perfect. Next to the river, few minutes by walk and you're on the next side of the river in the city center. Very friendly staff, everything clean and beautiful, big rooms, comfy and big beds, nothing to complain about at all! Very nice lockers with easy locking system, you don't need your own lockers. Welcome drinks were very tasty 😁 The view from the window during breakfast was breathtaking. It's sad that we were in a hurry, otherwise we would sit there for hours! Obrigado 🫶🏻

This hostel is located in the historical Aliados area in downtown Porto, in a restored 1930’s Art Deco building. It is 300 metres from the Porto Train Station and includes free Wi-Fi for all guests. Hands down one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at, and a great place to start the Camino! Convenient location, cozy, very clean. The staff were all exceptionally welcoming. The beds are spacious and have a big privacy curtain. Every day there is an option to join one of the 3 free walking tours. All in all, a 10/10 stay.
