It was very well in the middle of the city, which meant easy access to anything. It also meant no free parking places around downtown, and no warning about it. We managed eventually, with the help of friends, but warning would have been appreciated. Apart from that, everything was as advertised, and even better (generous bathroom, clean, high-end appliances, they managed to squeeze in a refrigerator, coffee maker and electric mug for tea, free change of towels). Excellent value for money, friendly staff, great location. Highly recommended.

The location was perfect, very close to the city center, and if you didn't want to walk too much, you have a bus station about 100 meters away. The room was clean, wi-fi was fast, and the bed was comfortable.

I am stayed 4 night , the manager was friendly with good tips If you had any questions about de city, the good point of this hostel is the cleanliness , all the rooms was everytime clean. The quality of mattress was good, which is good if you had some trouble with your back. I definitely recommend this hostel, multsumesc🇷🇴

We stayed in the triple room with a private bathroom and we were very happy with it. The bathroom was spacious. Helga was very friendly and helpful and spoke great English. She showed us that there was a closer entrance to the Turda Salt Mines just a 20 minute walk away. The kitchen was well equipped for making a decent meal, and there is a balcony attached to the kitchen which is nice for dinner and breakfast. There are two friendly dogs on the premises. The house is just a five minute walk to the town with grocery stores and good coffee.

Situated in a pedestrian area inside Cluj-Napoca's mediaeval city wall, Hostel Retro offers 24-hour reception, free bicycles, as well as a sauna for a surcharge. I came back to this place a month later, and stayed 4 nights instead of 1, and also on the first floor, which was very quiet in comparison to the room on the street level, also has a private bathroom. Staff was amazing and recommended nices places to eat and to work with the computer. It's also a good place to make new friends, I kept 4 new contacts just by hanging out in the common (reception) room, people that I will meet again. Also: perfect location, in the old town near universities, coffee machine, free tea, shower and bathrooms are nice. Good towels. Good internet. Each bed has its own lamp and electrical socket + usb too. Check-in works 24/7 because you are given a private code to unlock doors, that's a great system. The admin even extended by code by a few hours to let me have a late check-out, and lent me a padlock, thanks!
