Set in the hippest east area of Taipei, Star Hostel Taipei East has transformed from an old residential house to modern Eco-friendly accommodation hosting travellers worldwide. The hostel was just great. Great location in a nice neighborhood. Staff was super friendly and could speak English very well. We cooked in the kitchen and used the laundry room, everything was super clean and well equipped. The room was big enough for us and we slept very well there.

The location is great. It's close to lots of food and shops, and easy to get to from the airport, and to walk to places or take public transport. The cubbies are quite nice - solid, comfortable, and well set up with outlets, lights, large lockers and storage space. The bathrooms were spotless, The staff was really helpful with check in and questions as well. I've stayed in a lot of cubby hotels in different countries and I really liked this setup. The common area is set up with sitting places, outlets and there was a variety of respectful, interesting people staying there. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is unbeatable and a major highlight. The washrooms are ample and well-maintained. Slippers are available for washroom use, which is appreciated. The bed and mattress were super comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the privacy at each bed is a big plus.
