The facilities were cleaned and well kept, and at the heart of the city it was a GREAT location! I CAN’T believe I was able to stay at this place for so cheap.

It was very clean, the equipment is new and well maintained, there are lockers with enough space for a backpack and the hotel can supply a lock. There is a nice swimming pool with a very nice area to chill out even though it was so cold and I couldn’t enjoy it, Jonathan is professional and kind with a wonderful personality. We had an interesting chat! On top, there was a good breakfast included! The hotel is close to the highway and easy to get an Uber or Lyft, it’s also easily accessible by train to downtown Houston, 600m from Cavalcade train station. Using the Metro Rail Red line will take you 15min exactly to Main Street square Northbound station.

The facilities were clean. All of the roommates were polite, respectful and quiet at night. People booking here NEED to realize that this is a hostel, not a hotel. You won't find better rates for this quality. I would absolutely stay here again; short term or long.

Situato a 14 km da Texas Southern University e 14 km da NRG Stadium, Haystack Hostel propone camere a Houston. The hostel was extremely dirty and poorly located. I had to complete the online check-in twice and never received any confirmation email or the door codes. There were cockroaches on the floor, and the overall cleanliness was unacceptable. The bed was uncomfortable and disgusting. Most of the guests looked like homeless people, and I genuinely felt unsafe during my stay. One positive note: the lady working there was helpful and opened my door in the middle of the night when it accidentally locked after I went to the bathroom. Other than that, it was a terrible experience. This place is not safe, not clean, and definitely not worth the price.
