The staff were so helpful and kind. The location can’t get any better. There is also quiet place upstairs if you need to work. Thank you so much for making my stay amazing! Attractively located in the centre of Hanoi, Khai Homestay features air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge and free WiFi. I couldn't recommend this place more highly, it's a wonderful place to stay in Hanoi, and I would absolutely stay here again should I return to the city in future. Communication was great both before and after arrival. The owners work really hard to make this a great place to stay, and it seems they've thought of everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Each day you are given two bottles of water, which is super useful, especially when you get back and curse yourself that you forgot to pick any up, and there they are waiting for you outside your door. There are sweet small details like cotton buds and tissues. A choice of air conditioning or fan. And a bug zapper in the room, which is great if mosquitoes like to feast on you as much as they do me! The bed was very comfortable, and everywhere spotlessly clean. As other reviews mention, they literally clean the shared bathroom immediately after it has been used! One evening I came back so tired I hadn't managed to feed myself, and they even gave me a few snacks to see me through until the morning. Although they are working long hours, they are always incredibly friendly and smiley. It's so nice to see them when you leave for your day or return. The location is great - walking distance to all the main tourist areas of Hanoi, in a bustling local area just north of the Old Quarter. Although busy outside on the street, the fact it is down a little alleyway means that it is very peaceful and you hear nothing from outside. Because it is a (lovely) older building, you may hear some noises from other guests moving around inside the building, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper and easily disturbed. This is just the nature of such a property; the family themselves are remarkably considerate and quiet!

Located in the Old Quarter across the street from Hoan Kiem Lake, Little Diamond Hotel 2 offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. The hotel also houses a restaurant. Great helpful staff! Very supportive. Very welll located l! Clean, great WiFi. Safe. I really felt very supported in whatever I needed or questions I had. Will be staying there again.

Featuring a spa and wellness centre, Hanoi Train Street Hostel is located in the centre of Hanoi, less than 1 km from Hanoi Old City Gate. Yes, it needs painting, there is mold. I had a room with a balcony, which was spacious, clean and had the best bed in Vietnam. Clean towels, close to everything, I recommend!

Conveniently set in the centre of Hanoi, ACE Hostel provides air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. I booked 2 nights and ended up extending for 2 more. The staff were friendly. Rooms were clean and quiet, and there’s a nice little area downstairs to relax or meet other travelers. Not much of a kitchen but enough for snacks or coffee. Also liked that they changed the sheets after every guest – always a good sign.

Situated in Hanoi and with Hanoi Old City Gate reachable within 600 metres, Hanique Cafe and Stay features concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and... Absolutely loved staying here! My partner had his birthday whilst we were here and the staff surprised him with a cake. We had so much fun hanging out with the staff. They really put the ''home'' in homestay! We even came back and stayed again. The second time they organised a lovely dinner and drinks with us. We really hope their business will thrive because they absolutely deserve it. Facilities and location are good. And whenever something is missing or faulty they will fix it straight away. There is no doubt we will stay here again when we return to Hanoi.
