In 2021, Maximilian Walch and his wife Conny took over his parents' business and turned the former bed and breakfast hotel into an apartment hotel. The Walch family manages to strike a balance between dignified luxury and a cosy atmosphere thanks to their keen sense of hospitality and craftsmanship. Maximilian, a trained interior decorator, continues to run the craft business ‘Raum & Einrichtung Walch’ and furnishes houses and apartments with beautiful fabrics, furniture and high-quality flooring. Conny is also a hostess with heart and soul and is happy to provide insider tips on excursions, activities and restaurants. Guests are delighted that Gertrud and Herbert Walch actively support the next generation – after all, the Knappaboda is a hotel with 40 years of tradition.
