In 2022 & 2023 we put a lot of passion into revitalizing our Kellerstöckl on Hamerlberg (built in 1952) and making it habitable. Through these measures we were able to create a wonderful place for exceptional relaxation in the middle of our vineyards and we don't want to withhold this from our guests from near and far. The accommodation: Our Kellerstöckl includes a kitchen with a free-standing refrigerator and a spacious dining area. A living room including a couch and TFT TV invites you to relax. In the directly accessible bathroom there is a shower including a sink and toilet. Directly in the living area, a wooden staircase leads to the attic (small anteroom with reading corner). Accessible through this anteroom, there is a bedroom for two people per room on each end of the basement floor. The attic is equipped with 3 roof windows, which offer a unique view over the Strem and Pinkatal. Air conditioning in the living and dining area as well as in the two bedrooms ensures cooling in the hot summer months. With a glass of Uhudler, our guests can enjoy the beautiful summer evenings in southern Burgenland on the accessible wooden pergola.

Our family business is located in the beautiful Pinkatal, Güssing district, in southern Burgenland. Traditionally, viticulture has been practiced as a sideline for several generations, with a lot of love and passion for the product. The cultivation and pressing of wine can be traced back to a long-standing family history and has its roots in the home of the Uhudler, in Heiligenbrunn. Our vineyards are located on the last elevations of the Alps, in front of the Hungarian plain. The traditional Uhudler varieties from which our fruity Uhudler, which smells wonderfully of wild berries, grow on these slopes grow on south/south-eastern slopes. The range also includes fruit-intensive, sparkling white wines as well as natural juices from our own wine and orchard. Holiday accommodation in the vineyards of southern Burgenland: In Austria, Kellerstöckl refers to press houses, wine press houses and other agriculturally used buildings, primarily in wine-growing areas. Rent a converted basement and enjoy this interesting way of living. Kellerstöckl were usually built on a hillside over a cellar dug deep into the mountain. In the past they were used to store equipment and as a lounge for the workers in the vineyard. The name comes from the basement, on which a simple floor was usually built with wood and stones found on site. The Kellerstöckl had a single room and was sometimes used for sleeping when work in the vineyard or cellar had dragged on for a long time. Food was stored and dried under the roof. In southern Burgenland, wines such as the full-bodied Blaufränkisch, the sparkling Welschriesling and the rustic Uhudler still mature in the wine cellars of the winegrowers. The winegrowers in your neighborhood will certainly be happy to invite you to a tasting or, as they say here, a degustation.
