The property faces the northern sunrise, surrounded by lush lawn with tropical gardens and a rainforest backdrop. Resident Wet Tropics wildlife reside in the surrounding rainforest including fruit doves, brush turkeys, possums, cassowaries, wallabies, bandicoots, Ulysses butterflies and Cairns birdwing butterflies. The township of Kuranda is a three minute drive where markets, cafes and cultural experiences can be found. It is a 35 minute drive to the international airport and a perfect situation to make day trips to the Great Barrier Reef, Port Douglas or the Atherton tablelands.

The beauty of the lush wet tropical environment has always enchanted me with the abundant flora and fauna. The tropical fruit grown in Far North Queensland is delicious. I have responded creatively by painting images of the tropics. Bush walking and scuba diving have been wonderful experiences. Whilst raising a family we have run a plant nursery and we are currently moving our plant nursery to Jarawee Road. The plant nursery is not for the use of guests.

The area is picturesque with rolling hills and rainforest mountain surrounds. The soft breeze from the Coral Sea finds its way up the Barron Gorge to Kuranda to create a lush climate.
