A short drive will have you in the beautiful small town of Koroit, famed for its Irish festival in April, with restaurants, bakery, butcher, pubs and more all within 5 minutes. Only 10 minutes to the seaside Port Fairy, winner of multiple small town tourism awards and brimming with restaurants, boutique shopping, sandy beaches and rugged coastline plus amazing walks. And 10 minutes in the opposite direction is the capital of the southwest, Warrnambool with its amazing foreshore, breakwater, restaurants and Flagstaff Hill. Warrnambool and Port Fairy also both offer championship, coastal golf courses.
If you're interested in Australian wildlife - kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, echidnas and emus, they live right here at Tower Hill. Visit the neighbouring Tower Hill State Reserve (free entry) and see native fauna and flora, stop and take a photo, have a picnic or BBQ, great for walks, birds, hikes and even cyclists.
And within 1 hour's drive you reach the Great Ocean Road, Dunkeld and Southern Grampians, Budj Bim Unesco World Heritage site, Portland and much more. Make Harmony your hub to explore the Great South West!
Your hosts, Mitch & Jess, are both locals to the area and have the knowledge, contacts and happy memories of where to eat, tour, shop and explore throughout the region.
Tower Hill has everything, the rural charm of farmland and grazing cattle with the extraordinary geological feature of a dormant volcano, a wildlife bonanza and great places to eat and drink. Best of all it's all close to the best beaches and nicest towns!
The stunning seaside town of Port Fairy is only a 10 minute drive, as is Warrnambool with a great range of shops, dining, entertainment and more. And for a country feel, the Irish inspired town of Koroit is a short 5 minutes up the road, with great options including a bakery, brewery, 2 pubs, a number of restaurants and a fantastic supermarket!
