Honeybee House offers people a quiet retreat where they can relax and unwind on a rural property less than 10 minutes by car from the rainforest village of Kuranda. We live on the property behind Honeybee House and we are here to help if there are any issues.
We have lived at Speewah since 2002 and we love the quietness, the beautiful tropical surroundings, having plenty of space and being able to offer people who stay at Honeybee House an enjoyable break.
We also own the Kuranda Riverboat, offering 5 daily 45 minute cruises on the Barron River in Kuranda and guided rainforest walks in a secluded area of rainforest, accessible only via the Kuranda Riverboat. Our jetty is accessed via the footbridge at the Kuranda Railway Station and down the stairs to our jetty on the river.
Speewah is part of the Kuranda region and consists of rural residential acreage properties. We love living here, the people are great and the weather is cooler than on the coast.
Kuranda offers people lots to see and do. Our favourite Kuranda eateries are Cafe Mandala, Petit Cafe and Frogs Restaurant.
