The Hotel offers affordability and comfort and is perfect for the budget conscious traveller. Important notice, extensive hotel renovations are taking place until late 2025. You may experience disturbances and noise from 9:00 until 18:00 daily. The Kingsgate Hotel is just a short stroll to major city attractions including Marvel Stadium, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Crown Entertainment Complex and The Melbourne Aquarium. It is also located in the free tram zone offering easy access to the city's galleries and museums, the lively restaurant, café, and bar scene, the shopping district, Waterfront City, Queen Victoria Market, and plenty more. Off-site parking available (5-minute walk) on a first-come, first-served basis. Fees apply. Please contact Reception for more details. All guest rooms have free unlimited Wi-Fi, are air-conditioned equipped with a desk, tea and coffee making facilities, an iron and ironing board, fridge, flat screen TV, a safety deposit box, and an ensuite bathroom with a hairdryer. of the global ibis Styles network owned by Accor.
The ibis Styles brand has its origins in All Seasons, which was established in Australia in 1980. In 1999, All Seasons was acquired by Accor, integrating the hotel into a global network of midscale and economy hotels. In 2011, All Seasons was rebranded as ibis Styles globally, reflecting a more modern, design focused approach to economy accommodation. The hotel was taken over by its current management in 2014, accompanied by a major refurbishment to modernize the property and align it with ibis Styles
brand standards.
Since then, the hotel has evolved into a vibrant, midscale property catering to both business and leisure travellers, balancing affordability with a stylish, contemporary guest experience.
