My house is a standard Aussie three bedroom house with a verandah out back. The enclave " Rainbow Shores" is set in The Great Sandy National Park so there is bush about. Loads of bush. The master bedroom has fan, air con, a fridge, free to air telly and its own bathroom. There is a walk in robe to stash your stuff. The sliding door leads to a verandah where you can enjoy a wine and listen to the birds. Its a 35 minute walk from town.

I'm recently retired. I used to travel to Asia a lot but not recently. I have my own digs in Sri Lanka and look forward to revisiting there, maybe in 2025 I have a busy morning usually then laze about in the afternoon. In the morning i swim or paddle board . I have a small wire haired terrier named Billy Bob

There's loads to do in Rainbow Beach. My house is 1.5km from town so a car is handy but not essential. I've had guests who arrived by bus but they must make their own way to my place . Guests without their own vehicle may have to walk to my place although a taxi service has recently started. I cannot pick up or drop off guests. There is now a taxi service available. Walk through the bush to the beach from here although swimming should be undertaken at the beach in town as there are lifeguards there every day of the year. There's coloured sands, a sand blow , tennis courts, a gym . Rainbow has it all. A vacation wonderland. For dining, there is The Surf Club, The Sports Club, The Hotel and a very highly regarded Restaurant as well as burgers and the like. The Cooloola Coastal Walk starts or ends here. Another lovely place is Inskip Point. The water is usually very calm and clear here. Its a nice place for a swim or lie about and gaze at Fraser Island across the inlet. A lot of guests stay here a night before going to K'Gari/Fraser Island. Its lovely there and Lake MacKenzie is awesome. It has a sandy bottom so the water is clear and a swim is hard to resist. I offer a free glass of wine to those guests who have a swim in the lake.
