Stanley is a small town of 500 people located on a peninsula that juts out 7kms in the sea. Stanley is a town to relax in, slow walks on the beach, taking life at a slower pace. All guests wish they could stay longer. We, and our staff, have a wealth of local information on what to do , see and where to go. Stay with us to receive priority seating at the popular Stanley Hotel Bistro. We enjoy a casual stroll on our beaches, walking tracks and up and around The Nut. A game of golf on Stanley's 9 hole golf course is always challenging. Wander through Stanley's quaint shops and galleries. A favourite spot is a drive to the Tarkine to see Trowutta Arch then onto Arthur River to stand at the edge of the world to breathe in the world's cleanest air and hear the thunderous waves crash on the beach. Drive to Dips Falls, a beautiful waterfall at Mawbanna, then on the way back call in for honey tasting at Blue Hills Honey. Take a tour through Woolnorth out to Cape Grim where the cleanest air in the world is measured. Another great tour in Smithton is Duck River Meadows Dairy, you will be led through the different stages of milking in a robotic dairy, the history of our regions cheese making which dates back to the early 1900s and taste the cheese made on site by La Cantara Cheeses.
