High in the mountains above Cairns and nestled deep in Kuranda’s World Heritage tropical rainforest this brand new stylish studio offers the perfect escape from busy life. Make yourself at home, and leave the stress behind. Enjoy a stroll around our private rainforest filled tropical garden. Sit by the outdoor fire under the incredible star filled milky way. Or fill your days with adventure, then unwind in cozy comfort. We look forward to welcoming you to all that tropical North Queensland offers.
My Husband and I live in Kuranda, the village in the rainforest, in Tropical North Queensland. We have a warm and comfortable family home which we love to share with fellow travellers. A passion of ours is travel and we enjoy meeting new people when we visit them or they visit us. I am a Craniosacral Practitioner and Massage Therapist (would be happy to offer you treatments during your stay) and my husband Dave, is a musician. We have two adult children who we also love to travel with and have done this extensively through Europe, the United Kingdom, Morocco and Iceland where we stayed in many great Airbnbs. We are very excited now about opening our home to guests and the prospect of meeting fellow travellers as they explore our beautiful country.
Kuranda Village is a 45 minute walk from the house or five minutes drive 2.5 Km. Kuranda is known as the village in the rainforest and is very picturesque. It has interesting and unique markets, restaurants, cafes, galleries and is a great place to loose yourself exploring.
As we are situated 33 minutes from the airport, we would recommend that you have your own car. If not, there is a local bus that takes you to Kuranda and the Atherton tablelands. On request we can offer pickups and drop offs from Kuranda if available at the time of check in (a small fee will apply to cover costs). Certainly to see the incredible sites that this whole area has to offer, a car is the best way to go.
